RE: ASV Settings
I will use the ASV device as new. I can use manual or automatic.  What risk-free settings should I make?

RE: ASV Settings
Let's forget about old correspondence.
In the past, there was a lot of air leakage due to the mask. I changed the mask.  I will use ASV tonight for the first time. Should I use the device manually or automatically? How should I make the settings in both cases?

RE: ASV Settings
Changing masks or mask type would not require a full reset to your settings. If you're changing mask type, change that setting only.

THIS IS MY FIRST TIME TO USE IT. HOW SHOULD I ADJUST THE SETTINGS? BOTH MANUAL AND AUTOMATIC.

RE: ASV Settings
There are 2 reports. In one, AHI values and hypone counts are too low and in the other, they are too high. I always sleep in the same position. How can there be such a difference? This different image is constantly occurring. What is the reason?

RE: ASV Settings
The clustering of events and much higher flow limitation on the night of higher AHI both indicate the problem is obstructive, and is likely positional. Your EPAP is fixed at 5.0 and without ASV-auto cannot respond to obstructive events as they are detected. You either need to look at positional remedies or allow EPAP to rise to mitigate obstruction.

RE: ASV Settings
I use a ResMed AirCurve 10 CS PaceWave device, which has three modes:
  1. CPAP
  2. ASV (Manual)
  3. AutoASV
I use this device in ASV mode (manual). If I have central or obstructive apneas during sleep, will the device detect these apneas, and will OSCAR show them? I am asking because this device does not have these specific modes.
Another question: I am sending you one sleep report. Could you evaluate these results? In my opinion, the results seem very good, but I still feel sleepy and tired during the day. Thank you!

RE: ASV Settings
In ASV mode, single epap settings controls OA's.  This chart looks ok.  Your epap is 5.  That is fairly low.  You could either raise to 6 (and possibly even higher) in the future.  Sleeprider already discussed positional apnea with you.  Have you lowered pillow height, changed sleeping position (i.e. - back sleeping to side sleeping if necessary) and tried a soft cervical collar?  If you went to ASVauto, then you could set an epap range (something like 5-10 epap) and that should help if you needed higher pressures during sleep.

If you are having any CA's they would show up as "UA's" in OSCAR.  If your ps max is too low, this could happen.  You have a few of these so you could raise ps max above 15.
