AirCurve 10 ASV pressure settings for pillows vs full face
Hi,
I've been using full-face for obstructive and central apnea for 7 years. Am well treated, it's working. But sometimes I feel claustrophobic with the full face mask.
My wife got on CPAP recently and she is using nasal pillows, not a full-face mask. I tried hers and like it, so ordered one for me. Her machine is not bilevel, so her settings won't work for me.
I am adept at changing clinical settings on my machine. My full-face mask settings are WAY too high with pillows. What would you recommend I change to to try with pillows? If I get in the ballpark, I can figure out from use what to use exactly.
Currently for full-face I'm using
Min EPAP: 14
Max EPAP: 15
Min PS: 0
Max PS: 11
Thank you,
Michael

I've changed the setting to Pillows.
I tried to edit the post but couldn't see a place to do that.

Michael, it would help to know more about you and particularly why you are on a S9 VPAP Adapt ASV (according to your profile) or Aircurve 10 ASV based on the title. Normally with ASV we use much lower EPAP sufficient to control any obstruction, and use a range of PS that is suitable for treating central apnea. If this information is contained in another therapy thread I have not seen, please request that I merge this threat with that information so I can help advise on settings. It sounds like we could do some serious optimization here and titrate a more appropriate EPAP. You can edit your profile information in the UserCP
