This is one of the longest and most interesting threads on the board. Do you guys really want to make it even more difficult to read in full by adding off-topic banter? Or am I just getting cranky because it's way past my bedtime and I miss my P10?

Yes! Too-funny

I've been thinking to break my P10 out and give it another try.

For years I thought the humidity would be essential to my comfort but it really has not been an issue and it reduced maintenance to essentially zero as there now no need to even wash the hose or mask.

I just swap out the P10 mask after about 6-8 months but this is mostly due to the headgear -- my P10 itself would like last for decades. Smile

Oh good!  I'm not the only one to come to all the conclusions above!  Although I do swap out the nasal pillows more often than 6 months, since they send them to me.  The nasal pillows eventually get a bit "floppy"  and less well-fitting.

RE: AirFit P10 vent blocked?
I have no reason why it might be true but even my pillows seem to wear out slower -- I haven't swapped out a pillow in about a year either.

If they do get flappy then yes, I would definitely swap them.

Likely the headgear could be washed in hot water to shrink it -- but given they send me free masks too, it's easier to just replace them when they get loose.

Yes, people will likely be aghast, but literally don't do ANYTHING to the mask or machine until I swap the mask.

RE: AirFit P10 vent blocked?
The P10 has been terrible for me. I constantly end up ripping it off my face, gasping for air. I have 3 of them, and after 2 hours max, they completely saturate with humidity. So I swap them out several times a night and just lay awake for a while in between, trying to get some air. Tried doing without the humidifier, but that's not working for me. Neither are nasal or full masks - tried them all. So it's still the best of the worst out there. I'm getting worried - I have dreams about drowning almost every night. Wish someone made a mask that worked better for me. I will try the holes / slashes recommended here. That would be great it that helps! Smile

Good luck! (from one of the Slashers) P.S. start with holes. You can always make them bigger, into slashes, but you can't go backwards!
