AirSense 11 SD card

AirSense 11 SD card
My AirSense 10 came with a 4GB SD card. Is that then same size that comes with the AirSense 11? How many days data is that good for?

tanker;
The AS 11 doesn't come with an SD Card You will need to supply Your own ..
Resmed recommends up to 32GB cards ..
But Some here have used up to 256 GB ..

RE: AirSense 11 SD card
Interesting question for me, since I just got a new ResMed also. I believe the SD Card needs to be formatted to FAT32, and if so, the largest useful size is 32 GB isn't it? I suppose you could partition a larger SD Card, but then I would think you would lose the benefit of the larger size. Anyway, I had a 16GB SD Card and when reformatted to FAT32, it seems to be working fine. But I would be interested in hearing more about this and the benefits, if any of a larger SD card.

RE: AirSense 11 SD card
Until the 11 series came out, the previous models could only address up to 32GB, which is the maximum address of a FAT32 format. The 11 series has newer firmware that can utilize the exFAT addressing and supposedly allows up to 256 GB in address space. To my knowledge, the maximum that has been successfully tested by a member here has been 128 GB.  The reason a larger card wasn't tested, was because they didn't have a 256GB card to test.  In reality, Resmed only uses a fixed amount of space.  This means that while you can use larger cards, it will be unused by the Resmed.

Here are Resmed's storage parameters, 365 days of summary data, 30 days of detailed data and 30 sessions of high-resolution data.

Based on the specifications above, it boils down to wasting money on a larger SD card, since you don't need it. Of course, you take what you can get.

Thanks, Narcil! If I did the math correctly, if I reuse the 4GB card from my AirSense 10. I should be able to get 44 months of data. That seems good enough. Smile

RE: AirSense 11 SD card
Just reformat the card prior to using it in the new AS11.
