An AWARD for FFM users with 0% leaks
I hereby propose an award given to any user of this esteemed community who can use an FFM of the below brands for 7 consecutive days with 0 leaks!
Rules:
1- has to be asleep for a minimum of 8 hrs while using the mask not lying down (insomniacs, philosophers and day traders are not eligible, sorry)
2- has to use one of these brands/models: (Resmed F30i FFM or Phillips dreamwear FFM or F&K Evora FFM).
3- No neck collar allowed ( you don't see it in those sexy ads of deeply sleeping people do you?)
I urge all contestants to upload OSCAR screenshots proofs in this thread, along any of the sophisticated tools they used: i.e : lab grade nanotechnology measurement tools, AI powered robotics, Quantum physics entanglement applications or any such tools they used to help them achieve this universal achievement.
Prize will be sponsored by any of the 3 mask manufacturers for the value of $500,000 plus lifetime free mask supply.
Wish you luck y'all!

I have given up on those..just using nasal or nasal pillow. Funny post though! Some probably can but i would doubt high percentage of folks.

It's impossible in my opinion. For $500k, I may try a gorilla glue sealant on the silicone all the way around.

Also the committee should chose the winner with an 8hrs life demonstration in a dimly lit room while the background sound is playing a loop of the song ( you can't really wake up if you don't fall asleep)

RE: An AWARD for FFM users with 0% leaks
I started with a Respironics System One and a nasal cannula mask in 2011. After about a year, i switched to a FFM and in 2020 had my apnea tested and was told it had dropped from AHI 23 to 7 (actually, i wasn't told this I was told "you don't have sleep apnea. Do you still want a machine?). Because i had been using a CPAP for 9 years already, i didn't know what to do and purchased a new Aire10 Autoset For Her and began using it with a FFM. Unfortunately, during the first nine years of using the Respironics; and during the second 3.5 years using the Aire10, i did NOT consult with a sleep therapist or doctor regarding the success of my apnea therapy (i lived and worked in 4 countries during this period and never felt the need to change my PAP therapy). In fact, i never washed the hose, mask or etc. In early 2023 i again experienced the "same thing" that had caused me to chase numerous Cardiologists and doctors (27 altogether) since about 1997 -- a "chest vibration." This again showed up, this Spring, in the form of a "wobble" felt in my left chest. It has become a fluttering sensation which wakes me up and/or starts, once my heart rate drops below about 53. My average sleeping heart rate is in the 40s (40 - 47) and during the day averages below 60. I suspect the low rate is due to the 120 mg of Propranalol I was prescribed by doctor #7 (or so) in 2007 in the UK. I was taking Propranalol until this year (about 16 years) and, after i saw the Cardiologist in 2023 March, was switched to Bystolic 10 mg. I believe a combination of mask leaks, mouth breathing (when using a nasal mask/pillows), apnea caused by shallow breathing and/or soft palate closure; and the beta blocker usage, is the direct cause of my "flutter." The "flutter" creates intense anxiety, because of fears regarding arrhythmias. However, all the doctors I saw never connected sleep apnea with this "flutter" and only acknowledged the anxiety. My most recent experience was to be put on (or allowed to suggest) four different antidepressants in one month (to 'help me sleep'), which made things much, much worse. I am currently on a small dose of Clonazepam and Zopiclone; but these sedatives are definitely not a good idea for anyone who wants to reduce their apneas! I am very interested in finding a FFM that does NOT leak; and a treatment that will absolutely ensure that my throat remains wide open when i am asleep (REM in particular). I am 58 and repeat that none of the specialists and/or DMEs have actually understood how to cure my condition.

While I don’t have OSCAR data available right now, I can tell you according to my old DS1 my DS FFM is pulling 99-100% seal rate according to the Mask Fit report — 99% over 30 days, even.
Do I get a bronze medal?
meow, I'm a bobcat.

RE: An AWARD for FFM users with 0% leaks
I am using the F20 airtouch (foam), FFM, and it's terrific. But it's expensive because the foam in the cushion breaks down, particularly with aggressive cleaning, and it needs to be replaced, I would say 6 times more frequently than its silicone twin (F20 fit). So, not being able to claim on insurance, I have been very, very careful in the cleaning thing, and the cushions are now lasting 2 to 3 times longer!!!!! But interestingly, the leak rate is skyrocketing!!! to 50-60 lt/min. Yet I cant tell where the leaks are; I cant hear the leaks; I cant feel the leaks in my eyes or on my face (skin). The leaks may be there but I don't notice them. And the most important thing is that my ahi is the same or better as recorded by Oscar. The machine is (appears to be) compensating even at 50-60 lt/min leak rate.

You definetly could if it works for me
NEver heard about it, willing to try, it says large, medium or small is that the headgear or nose size?
Do you use any helpers? any tips or tricks for no leaks?
Also. i have a back of neck problem, my lower straps CAN NOT be too tight or even tight, hence my leaks issue, F&P evora has the least pressing design on lower straps for me so far compared to F30i and dreamwear ( for comparaison) , how is this one ?

I think these are the best masks leak wise, i tried the F&P Vitera, i have a problem with this triangular design as it presses on my nose pridge, i have a deviated septum in my left nostril so it kinda close the left nostril no matter how light the pressure is i unfortunately have to use the other type of nasal FFM
RE: An AWARD for FFM users with 0% leaks
I guess my point was that ——- it isn’t the leak itself ——it’s the bothersome nature of the leak
