Titrating a Redmed aircurve 10 Bipap ST model
I bought a used bipap that is in good condition with only 836 hours on it. I wanted to see if it would give me better therapy then my cpap. I am feeling slighly more rested than if i had no CPAP, but I dont feel that my treatment is being optimized on CPAP. How should I go about titrating my new aircuve 10 ST based off my charts from the CPAP?

The ResMed ST is normally for patients with lung disease along with Apnea. Otherwise the ResMed AirCurve VAuto is a better choice.

Your AutoSet might do better for you as well.

Anyway, you'll want to reset the ST to factory default. Access the clinical menu to find the reset. From there, you'll get 1 EPAP and 1 IPAP setting, and I'm thinking 1 PS. You will then get square wave therapy, EPAP to IPAP to EPAP, etc. There's no auto adjusting here.

Your EPAP probably will be similar to the AutoSet at 9.6, and the IPAP about 4 over that at about 13.6 or so, and maybe PS 4. Absolutely not certain on any timing controls, but you'll have them. ST stands for spontaneous timed.

Ah I see. Yeah I definitely learned more about CPAP machines! I thought all the air curve machines are the same. However the ST does have a backup rate and that could help with my CA that I have?

Yes, because of the backup breath rate the ST might be more useful than my first comment suggests. However, there is a better answer if the need arises. That is the similar looking ResMed AirCurve ASV. It's built just to combat CA, yet will treat all Apnea.

The ST was the old method to treat CA before the ASV came along.
