Autoset set for CPAP
I have a resmed 10 Autoset but its set in the CPAP mode with a constant pressure of 12. What is the advantage of this rather than setting it to a range? What is the disadvantage?

Straight pressure treats some folk better than a range as they are sensitive to the changes in pressure. Some need straight pressure without expiratory relief (EPR, AFLEX, CFLEX) Some of these even have CA in response to a pressure range.
Others have a better experience with a range of pressure so that they can stay lower until they need more (comfort) YMMV
