Beard and mask - cannot use nasal
Hi. I need to get a full face mask for my ResMed. The company is sending my the: Vitera Full Face Mask (all size). I have a beard that I cannot cut do to religious reasons but I curl it under my chin - I get about 5 inches protruding. I have issues with nasal and pillow masks because I’m a mouth breather and have septum and nose allergies too.
Is this brand good for me? Please advise. Thanks.

I heard this is a good full face mask for those with beards.
I use the AirTouch F20, which is also a full face mask. It has an extra layer of memory foam around the mask so it doesn’t irritate my face. It also does not require cleaning, (and should not get wet), but I gently use a CPAP wipe each morning on it. It gives me a very good seal with no leaks. It says it works well with beards too.

I have had (and am growing back out) a rather full beard and have used a number of full-face masks with little trouble. I do slightly trim my mustache and the area directly under the mask cushions to get a better fit. You can also use something like PadACheek to help seal the mask against your face.
My preferred mask is the F&P Evora hybrid, but I have used the ResMed F20 and F30 with good success. I imagine many others would work as well, but those are the ones I have used off and on for a while.
As SleepyDawg said, memory foam works well for beards. I just have not tried them directly.
