PLEASE leave them a negative Yelp review.  I did for my sleep "doctor", and it feels so good to know my cautionary warning is out there for others to learn from.

I insisted she NOT cancel my "4 week" follow up (in JUNE), where I would get even further behind schedule,  because I got a machine myself yesterday. She then asked, "Well, do you even know how to use it?" (Actually,  no, but I have been reading here and watching YouTube videos, and now the other lady sente the settings).  So, she reluctantly did not cancel me...but, how crummy to be so very worried I wouldn't get 4 weeks in before mid June!  (Also, I heard nothing from their supposed DME they sent my script to)...but I have a copy now, so I can keep that.

His report on my consultations was very patronizing,  as well...all full of how he had to repeatedly stress to me that I need to get 7 hrs every night...uh, yeah, I am actually capable of processing that, despite my sleep deprivation.

And, they will be getting negative reviews from me everywhere I can find to post them.

Oh, ok. So they are "just" trying to hassle/bully/intimidate you.

I'm confident your follow up appt will be the nail in the coffin for you as it was for me - a shot in the arm of confidence that you're better off going at it on your own.

Ok, I sound too jaded.

I do hope your appt with your doctor is BETTER, and is helpful for you.

If it's not, you know we're here for you.

I am going to do it as much as I can myself (with y'all's help here). I am so over that office.

I have to conpare his consult notes to my sleep study, too, because I believe he had me down as "mild to moderate" in the consult and I am pretty sure the reading in my sleep study was "moderate to severe".

You won't find better help and advice than what you'll get here.  I don't think any of us are too impressed with the so-called "experts" that we've had to deal with.  Everyone has some sort of story.

So you have your sleep study report and the best machine in the world. Hopefully you have a mask. What's next? Are you ready to start?

Here is a quick tutorial on accessing the settings: https://www.apneaboard.com/resmed-airsen...setup-info
You can get a complete clinician manual by requesting one for the Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset at this link: https://www.apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap-p...nual#THREE
Now, just go to the clinical menu, set the minimum pressure to 7.0, Maximum pressure to 16.0 and set EPR to Full Time at 2.
Pop in a SD card to record the data
Install and use #Sleepyhead
Post your data and we can go from there.

I don't like the mild/moderate/severe labels in many things, because I find they don't describe what we're wanting to describe.

My sleep "doctor" didn't even want to diagnose me with sleep apnea since my # was so low. But my symptoms were quite severe.

Wow...what is with these sleep Drs? I googled the other sleep drs in my area and they are rated a 1 & a 3 star. Not good.

Trying my Res 10 tonight. See if I can sleep with this thing in my nose! I have the pillow...I think I may want the mask for it...see how it goes. The videos to set up.the clinical settings were quite helpful!

I think I want the more mask-like thing; the pillows in my nose bothered me. The more mask-like thing duringthe sleep study, not so much.

I managed to fall asleep with it on, and I don't think I took it off til morningish.

I have a migraine this morning, so we will see. but, it was Night One, and I will work on downloading the Sleepyhead software/program, etc. today. It really wasn't too bad setting it up! The info here really helped!

Thank you! Start pressure  says 4.0, & I set Ramp time to 20 (sounded good),  AB filter no, Mode Autoset.  Any thoughts?
