Brigabart's Therapy Thread
I just started on a resmed autoset 11. First time. I hope I'm attaching these forms the right way for feedback. First night I was exhausted, slept fairly well. Second night, not as much, third night less, Monday night less, and tonight is Tuesday. I attached the first three nights. Now on the fifth night, wide awake at less, two hours. Intense dreams a couple nights about aliens attacking my head. Last night I hit the claustrophobia wall and leapt out of bed, pulling off the mask. I have two masks, N30i and P10. Wore P10 the first two nights, alien sucking my brains dreams. Wore p10 third night, ok but woke up several times when it slid around. Wore N30i fourth night, that was the claustrophobia night. Wore P10 tonight.
Seems to work, but also seems each night to pull me out of sleep earlier. I feel like after the third night, I wasn't hitting deep sleep much. We shall see!

Here are the last two nights. If I've done them wrong, please let me know. Thanks!

Need to figure out how to fill out that left side. I'm using Resmed Airsense Autoset 11, N30i and P10 masks depending on how claustrophobic I am, humidifier on auto, no idea about pressure since the tech set it, but there is probably a way for me to find that if needed

Hello, a really excellent start!

Just a few observations:-

- You could increase your minimum pressure to 6 or 7 in order to dampen down the large swings in pressure that are likely causing you currently a degree of discomfort.

- The ramp is selected on auto. Ideally best to deselect this if you can, or set it on a lower duration time.

- Many people find the use of EPR a great comfort setting. Full explanations are in the link.

If you chose to make these adjustments, best not to do all three at the some time. Feel your way through carefully to see what happens before moving onto the next.

Regarding the left hand window, you could  try reducing the hight of the graphs window, that may bring the left hand window at the same time. To do this go to preferences/appearance and reduce graph from 180 to 100 to see if this works.

If not, try the other font settings, see  below.

Thanks! I turned off the auto ramp. I don't see any place to change pressure or epr, but I did get the manual so I will read that. I will try and work with the window a bit - couldn't sleep any more last night after two hours, so I just tried to doze a bit for a couple hours to get my required four hours on the machine.

You have pretty clean charts so for now I would turn ramp off and EPR on to fulltime at 1 and raise min pressure to 7cm, this should help you sleep better.

RE: Brigabart's Therapy Thread
I got in to the clinical menu - thank you for the tips. Had ramp off last night and that was fine, so tonight I can try another suggestion.  Here's last night's data (ramp off), along with the night before (ramp on). I have woken up a few times feeling like a dragon with air shooting out of my mouth  Too-funny ah the things I did not know about these machines...

Is the "Her" function something you would just consider if sleep didn't settle down after fiddling with the present settings?

Sorry -forgot to take the calendar view off in the one from two nights ago

I'm having a problem with my right ear hurting. Seems associates with the sleep machine. It started 2 days ago and today my ear is just killing me. I haven't been anywhere since I have long covid, so I know I'm not sick. Any recommendations? Can the machine cause your ear to hurt?

RE: Brigabart's Therapy Thread
Ear pain is not as severe, but still definitely present. Bad enough that I couldn't use my machine the past two nights. Here is the data from the night when the min pressure was increased to 7 and epr was on. Woke up feeling pressure pain in my ears - I did notice on the settings from that night that I had a harder time breathing out. Hoping I can use it tonight - I went in and changed the min pressure back to five in hopes that might help. Don't know if I should leave on the epr or not.
