[CPAP] Airsense 11 data extraction - time til asleep?

Airsense 11 data extraction - time til asleep?
Been using my Airsense 11 for 2 months now and I love the thing. Changed my life.

I am however frustrated at the near useless data I can get from it. One important data point I’d like to see is the time the machine senses that it takes me to fall asleep. When the machine says I used it for 7 hours, that’s great, but if I tossed and turned for the first hour, I’m not getting 7 hours of sleep, I’m getting 6.

And I’d like to know. I’m sure the machine records this time. Anyone aware of a way to get that data? It’s not something I’d need every night so if it’s a manual process (SD card data dump?) I can handle that fine.

I also have extensive experience with coding, data manipulation, and electronics, so I don’t need a ton of hand holding. I just need to know where to start looking and how to read the data (csv format from a SD card dump, or how to access it over wifi if possible, etc), or if there’s a deeper dive needed like pulling it off a serial connection after opening the machine - though I am hesitant to open it up, I legit use this thing and don’t want to mess with any warranty or insurance coverage.

Any info is a big help, thanks.

Hello Driftin12,
Welcome to Apnea Board!

You will need a SD card in your Cpap while you're using it, otherwise you will only receive summary data.

Know that the Pap machine doesn't know if you're asleep or awake.  Although, we can study the flow graph which monitors every breath you take.  Sometimes awake breathing is more erratic than sleep breathing.

Download the free OSCAR software, and set up your profile.

Odd, I could have sworn I saw (or was told?) that the auto-ramping up feature delayed until you were asleep. That that is what the “Auto” ramp time delay was for. If it doesn’t sense that, what does the auto ramp do?

Also thanks for all the info on the software. Wish I had read the reply before I was in bed! I’ll load an SD card tomorrow.

Right... you would have to select the Auto Ramp feature.
Then it is supposed to detect sleep onset and then rise to whatever pressure you set.
The choices for ramp settings are: Off / 5–45 mins / Auto

"If Auto is selected, the device will detect sleep onset and automatically rise to the prescribed treatment pressure."
