RE: Beyond ASV with Overlap Syndrome!
Congratulations Dave! Your PSG looks better than mine in every way except the lowest SPO2 I think (after glancing at all the pages). 10/16 and 12/6 got you to 0 AHI. O obstructives, but still lots of centrals. At 13/18 I was still not fully titrated. Lowest spo2 was 89 or so I think.
Hopefully the VAUTO will work out. I am curious to see how well it treats your CA's. Very high trigger I am assuming. And how well is it going to keep your SPO2 levels up.

We'll see is about all I can say now. I do hope they don't try to kill me with ST. I'm of a mind to refuse that one.
I had some ST at the tail of Titration and worse than terrible. Twiddling thumbs waiting. And knowing for certain if I do get a machine, I'll have to reset all the settings.

RE: Beyond ASV with Overlap Syndrome!
Even if the VAUTO fails, you would then have documented failure at CPAP, VAUTO, ASV, and ST. It would seem the smallest step up after that would at least be ST (A) - you finally get the IVAPS. Or possibly even up to a ventilator. I patiently went through the process. IMO, good move by moving things along with your therapy.

RE: Beyond ASV with Overlap Syndrome!
You're correct, sounding more level headed. I hope it's not ST as I've discussed with this doctor my preference for ST-A. She may or may not agree, as it seemed she thought they were basically the same.
I vow not to hold my breath. Happy HOT day y'all.

RE: Beyond ASV with Overlap Syndrome!
Update, I cancelled the Lincare order to resend to local Dick's Homecare. Had to chat with their rep a few times. She called today to say that order from doc is in...
For ResMed S. Static BPAP. NOPE. I'm going to the doctor's office tomorrow as scheduled, this was to be the face to face. I don't even have any machine yet though. And a big no to ResMed S. Doc needs a better answer on the machine choice or none. Can't fix stupid. Well it's not worth it anymore to attempt to go insurance route.

RE: Beyond ASV with Overlap Syndrome!
I'm sorry to hear that Dave. You have a lot of knowledge about all of the more advanced machines and ventilators. Hopefully your Dr. will see that and listen to you tomorrow. I hope that you have a productive meeting and that it goes well.

RE: Beyond ASV with Overlap Syndrome!
Thanks Jay. Not sure if the big rubber mallet would help.
Kinda pathetic to see others getting over treated with machines way above need and I can't even get a VAuto. Again I say can't fix stupid.

RE: Beyond ASV with Overlap Syndrome!
Had a chat with doctor and she's ordering VAuto. Dick's Homecare only carries VAuto as BPAP anyway but I didn't know that. So there's a smell but it's progress.
Cheers
