CPAP nose mask
I just received my cpap machine and I'm wondering do I breathe out thru the nose mask or thru my mouth?

RE: CPAP nose mask
If it's a wisp nasal mask you breathe in and out through your nose.

RE: CPAP nose mask
If its a nasal mask your mouth stays shut and you breathe out thru your nose. If its a full face it doesnt matter.

RE: CPAP nose mask
Hi dvett,
WELCOME! to the forum.! Since you are using a nasal mask, you breathe out through your nose while keeping your mouth closed. Hang in there for more responses to your post and much success to you with your CPAP therapy.

RE: CPAP nose mask
You may need a chin strap to help keep your mouth closed. Else, air going in your nose will go out your open mouth before it ever gets to your lungs.

RE: CPAP nose mask
I find most married men are pretty capable of keeping their mouths shut after many years of training.
