Reduce leaks>reduce pressures

Reduce leaks>reduce pressures
About to cross the Rubicon and get used to a new mask that in past trials has cut leaks (Wisp). I have to get over my fear of changing away from the present one though but here goes.

Am I right in thinking I will need to cut the pressures if I reduce leaks? It seems obvious but I have learnt not to assume anything with apnea.
Respironics Dreamstation Auto CPAP ay 8 cm. fixed pressure.

Why don't you keep everything as is for a bit first and see what happens. That way you are minimizing that changes to one factor only.

The machine increases speed, and thus flow to keep the pressure constant and minimize the effect of the leak. So no, you do not need to adjust pressure because of leaks or the lack thereof, within reason that is.

Thanks Gideon for articulating what I only sorta understood concerning the machine's response to leaks. That makes me feel better about my leaks. Mask leaks I mean.

Ok, thanks everyone. I will definfitely leave the sleep clinic to assess what happens with my pressures.
