How to improve by CPAP numbers
Hi fellow members,

I have been using my CPAP for 4 years, but only recently started looking at the OSCAR data.  Two weeks ago I increased the minimum pressure from 5.0 to 7.0. Now I see my OA index is down from 0.42 to 0.16, but my Hyponea Index went up from 1.85 to 2.83.

How do I improve my CPAP numbers?

Thank you!

Welcome to the forum Wellsta007 Smile

Please change the flex mode from a-flex to c-flex, raise min pressure to 9.5cm (your 99.5 percent pressure is over 10cm so this close enough for now). Your hypopneas are of concern, the pressure change and flex mode swap will help. Are you sleeping on your sides? Also hit F12 in the daily tab to save a screenshot of the full chart and upload that please.

You are NOT having large amounts of positional apnea but you are having some.  You can see the PA when there are grouped O or/and H events close together.  That happens when you tuck your chin down to your sternum.   No pap machine or pressure changes will halp positional apnea. You needtostop getting into that position.

Any reduction in th flow limits will decrease you AHI..

RE: How to improve by CPAP numbers
@Phaleronic,

Thanks! I will try the settings and report back! I do mainly sleep on my sides, but there are days where I find I have shifted back to my back when I wake up.

@Stacey,

Now that you mention it, I do remember waking up in the middle of the night with my chin tucked down towards my chest! Perhaps I need to explore trying a different pillow.

Also, I have attached the rest of the graphs of the daily tab as requested by Phaleronic. Thank you both for your insightful feedback so far!
