RE: CPAP & Lasik Eye Surgery
Had zero issues before the lasik
Obviously they kind of deny or minimize the issue, but I had no issues before and now I have to deal with dry eyes every day now.
wasnt even really warned about that possibility, they just said that I would need drops 4 times a day for one month. And then it was more like 20 times a day for 6 months, and still need drops many times a day 15 months later plus a warm mask 5 min a day every day plus fish oil and it will never be like before.
I am somewhat lucky that I can work and live with the issue. In the first weeks, I was unable to work and live normally. I could not really drive or go outside or anything, or even read or anything. Some people have been like that forever, some have committed suicide for that.

Kryogen or anyone else,
Did you have a dry eye issue before or while using Cpap? Or did the dry eye problem start after the lasik?
I ask because I have always suffered with dry eyes and Cpap use has aggravated it, although I use eye drops and oinments that help.
I'm looking to have cataract surgery within the next year and wondering how some here have fared with the dry eye issue after surgery compared to before.
OpalRose,
I didn't have dry eye before my cataract surgery and I have been on CPAP for about 6 years and change. My eye doc did recommend using some type of drop, even basic saline would do, to help get rid of the of the dry eye and itchiness that everyone in AZ gets. My regular optometrist recommended the same. I have started with a basic gel type drop, systane, and I have noticed less itchiness and dust discomfort. Use it about twice a day.

RE: CPAP & Lasik Eye Surgery
I had my Eye surgery on the 28th as planned. To be safe I did not use my cpap machine for the first 4 nights while wearing the goggles that prevented me from rubbing my eyes. The cpap had no effect on comfort or discomfort of my eyes. Having the humidity on actually was really nice. I love my new vision and other than having a slight eye lash effect(no pain) for first week in my left eye I have had no issues. Having 20/15 in both eyes from 20/400 is bonkers. Imho, Lasik and use of a cpap machine is non-issue. Thanks for those that gave advice.
