[CPAP] OSCAR help adjusting pressure - Prisma smart
#11
RE: OSCAR help adjusting pressure - Prisma smart
I'm not making any promises, but would you send me your raw Prisma data?  Please follow up with a note, or include it in the zip file, as to which nights used SoftPAP levels and which did not.  Just one or 2 nights of each is all that is needed for analysis.

In thinking about this, I am reminded of the Resmed VAuto Bi-Level machine.  It will report Flow Limitations in the VAuto mode, but will not report this parameter in the "S" mode.  The "S" mode is the static pressure mode.  I'm wondering if Prisma might be operating in a similar nature.

RE: OSCAR help adjusting pressure - Prisma smart
Update: When comparing my results between OSCAR and SleepHQ, I see the same pattern of 0.00 average flow limitations with softPAP "OFF" and the high numbers like that when it is on.
So, whatever the issue is, apparently it is not unique to OSCAR.

Whether this means that the Lowenstein is not detecting flow limitations that are happening with softPAP off, or detecting them but not reporting them, or not reporting them in a way that is easily accessible by people making such software, or giving unnecessarily high numbers when it is on, or whether it being on is actually causing the flow limitations, or some combination, or none of these, I am still not sure.
