A new mask may fix the problem, but one thing you might try before splurging on a new one is to take a brush (like a toothbrush or one of those brushes used to clean under the fingernails) and some warm soapy water and give the vent on the old mask a good cleaning. If those little vent holes aren't kept clean and unobstructed then the venting can get pretty loud.

It might not work, but it's something worth trying.

If they are obstructed, it can be dangerous because the air you breath is being breathed again (if they are obstructed) and can cause suffocation.
