RE: Aircurve 10 card to cloud with no “Easy Breathe”
For me, I'd rather wait and see the AC10's Daily screenshot after you adjust the TiMax.

RE: Terrible LOFTA Sleep Results
Hey folks,

I slept with my A11 again, as I'm still working on settings on Aircurve 10 VAuto.

Here's some screenshots from last night, my results keep getting worse. Note there's a gap where I didn't put my mask on after bathroom. Got up because I was starting to get a head ache and put it on and went back to sleep.

PS: I'm still waiting on cervical pillow, as the one I got is too narrow for my neck.

FYI for all who look at my sleeping schedule, I'm on vacation from work.

Whole night:

MERGING THREAD FROM: http://www.apneaboard.com/forums/Thread-...#pid448957

The below are the settings I'll use tonight with the AirCurve 10 Vauto C2C.

Likewise, the TiMin setting is the minimum time before the IPAP pressure can drop to the EPAP setting.  I think the default is .2 seconds.  I have not seen an instance that this needs to be changed.    Thinking-about Although, if your Flow Rate was presenting with constant flutter, meaning: crossing the zero line rapidly, (also, for lack of a better term) you might increase this to offer some resistance to this condition.   . . . I'm getting off subject.

Try the 3.2 TiMax setting.

Ok I'm doing the settings now and reset the machine to defaults.

Ti Max: Is by default 2.0 sec
Ti Min: Is by default 0.3 sec

Prescription was originally: BIPAP set max IPAP 25, min EPAP 6, PS 4 cm H20 with heated humidity and mask/interface fitting.

VAuto Mode
Max IPAP: 25
Min EPAP: 6.0
PS: 4.0

And also setting:

TI Max: 3.2 sec - Is it ok to drop to 3.1 or 3.0 for comfort?
Ti Min: 0.3 sec - Will keep as default

Keeping the rest as default:

Trigger: Med
Cycle: Med

---

And one more question, what is the difference between S vs Vauto modes?

Be sure to order a Clinician's manual for the VAuto.  The differences are shown in the manual.

First, your thread merge request has been done.

Secondly, there is no need to reduce the TiMax in your case. It would not improve anything. So long as you inhale for at least .3 seconds and less than 3.2 seconds, you won't notice any changes.

I just went back and looked at the AutoSet charts, and I see that the 95%tile Ti is over 4 seconds, so there may be the occasional disturbance at 3.0 or 3.2 seconds Ti-max - perhaps not enough to be noticeable

EasyBreathe is how smoothly or quickly the CPAP machine switches from inhalation to exhalation pressure. Almost all ResMed machines implement "Easy Breathe" by default. If I recall correctly, you can turn that option off on an AirCurve 10 S machine (or S-mode on a VAuto). The resulting transition between inhalation and exhalation pressure is extremely abrupt. I tried it once and found it incredibly uncomfortable. I suppose there are some conditions for which it is helpful to turn EasyBreathe off, but I don't know what they are and am certainly happy I don't need to turn that feature off!

If you have a Card-to-Cloud machine, we would very much like to see data from the SD card to confirm that everything works properly with OSCAR. We have not yet seen the SD card contents from a card-to-cloud machine. If you could, please zip up the contents of your SD card (Help / Troubleshooting / Create zip of CPAP data) and upload it to my Dropbox folder. Please include your forum name in the zip file name so we know who the file is from.

RE: Terrible LOFTA Sleep Results
So far I think this is the best night with a PAP machine. I really am liking the Aircurve VAuto. Its so much easier to breathe. I had no trouble falling asleep due to the pressure to exhale.

I did get up and come back to sleep for a bit (hence the gap).

Note, I did increase the Min EPAP from 6 to 7, as I felt I needed more air.
