Central events are predominant in my OSCAR data, but I am not clear about how my cpap machine deals with them.

As I understand things, the pressure from the machine opens obstructions in the airway. But this would seem to only correct obstructive apnea events. How does it deal with the central events? What is it doing to correct them?

Thanks for any insight you can provide.

Post some Oscar charts so we can see exactly what is going on and advise you accordingly.  Have you always had predominantly CAs or is this something new?  It's possible that you need a different machine to deal with your CAs if they are very high.  My CAs are predominant also, but since my AHIs are almost always less than 0.something it does not matter one bit.
