RE: Cervical Collar - amazing!
This will either help or really confuse the issue. I believe the majority of the apneas occur other than during sleep.
https://imgur.com/a/q8xS8 Last nights chart is in two parts. Same settings on APAP as before, using a Cervical Collar. The collar was kept on all night. From 20:39-02:51 the AHI was 10.80. From 02:52-04:04 the AHI was 41.37. Here is how I recollect the time frame: *My wife, who usually reads for about an hour after I mask-up and start to sleep turned the light out to go to sleep at the same time. The Apneas were significantly less than they usually are at the beginning. *At 00:38 I believe I woke and just waited to go back to sleep, about 15 minutes. There is a blevy of apneas shown there. *At 02:05 I woke and considered a P-break for a few minutes but dozed back off. .. Another cluster of apneas. At about 02:52 the urge to P came back and I got up for a couple minutes. *The second 02:52 chart is decorated with mixed apneas, but during that hour I did not go back to sleep. Finally I took the mask off and shut the APAP down. I think this must clearly indicate the lion’s share of both Centrals and Obstructives are during drifting off to sleep or while awake. I wonder if the usual hour my wife reads with her night light on actually locks me into the sleep holding-pattern of a psudo-sleep. Any clues here for 'those who know'?

I don't count anything while I'm awake, drifting off to sleep or waking up. It's ugly for most people. When is the bpap coming?

For auto-cpap, from machine data or software. You can set the min pressure 1 or 2cm below 95%. Or clinicians commonly use the maximum or 95% pressure for fixed pressure CPAP, this can also be used for min pressure. https://aasm.org/resources/practiceparam...rating.pdf

Just a thought...13 minimum, 20 maximum EPR 3. Let's see what more pressure support / EPR does for you.

Interesting.. thought 'ugly' was reserved for me Having Apneas while awake may indicate a screw loose somewhere? Aircurve 10 VATO is scheduled to be picked up Monday afternoon unless someone drops the ball..

The 12/19 2-EPR sorta fell off the wagon last night. https://imgur.com/a/Ikrhb Full moon on snow woke me at midnight so I shut it down. Seemed to have the sensation the cervical collar may have been a bit snug?

Once you have the bilevel, you will be using more pressure support. No reason not to get a jump on that trend.

Pressure Support is the difference between EPAP and IPAP. With the APAP when you use EPR your creating a Pressure Support. The exhale pressure is EPAP and the inhale pressure is IPAP.
