Changing from Philips to Resmed settings help

RE: Changing from Philips to Resmed settings help
I agree. Your original question was to match your PR machine.

That said do post the results so we can tweak your therapy.

Well. First night with the Resmed! I slept pretty well but woke a bit due to post covid coughing. But by casting my eye over OSCAR it looks pretty good. Any advice or tweaks would be great. Thankyou

Turn time back a couple of years and this time don't catch COVID.

Seriously though your numbers are the envy of anyone reading this thread.

With low numbers we address comfort, so from a critical point of view, how do you feel, and be specific. A response of "I feel fine". Means your doing great, have an apple a day which keeps the doctor away and let us know when you perceive any issues.

Thankyou for your reply. After that night I definitely felt different. My head was clearer and had energy. Not enough to run a marathon, but definitely felt more motivated. My legs didn't ache either, which is always a good sign of good rest for me. While using the Resmed, I noticed my lungs seemed to get more air and it felt like the machine was working harder or more pro actively than the DS if that makes sense. Unfortunately last night I couldn't use it as I was coughing too much. But I'll see how I go tonight and hopefully can get some solid sleep. I look forward to it tbh!

Onward!

In general the algorithms in a ResMed are significantly more aggressive at eliminating future event than Phillips machines are. Your perceptions are right on.

Here is night number 2.

Any tweaks i could be making? Also with my DS i had the flex turned off and it was no issue. With my new Resmed i have EPR at 2 and not having resistance as i exhale feels a bit odd. Almost makes me a bit breathless and makes me feel like i need to inhale deeply if that makes sense?

The important question of "how do i feel?". I feel ok. I'm still a bit fatigued, but not sure if its from post covid. I haven't been able to exercise for a few weeks now, so i don't think my sleep patterns are the best. But i have no headaches and my eyeballs don't feel irritated and dry - so thats a good thing.

Your numbers are good so if you need to you can try EPR=1 for comfort but expect your flow limits to increase and your pressure to fluctuate more as a result.

thankyou. yeah i might leave the settings for another week and get used to the machine. Then look at the data a bit more. Can definitely say i'm going in the right direction which is great. Now to get over this post covid and get some routine back which will help!
