Consolidating P-Series Data

Consolidating P-Series Data
Off question, but perhaps someone has an answer.

Multiple machines over time, multiple P-Series folders, but together are one continuous time series from one person.

Anyone have a hint on how I can combine the old data with the new to ease integration for a complete time series?  Or, am I missing how to add old data to Oscar?

One issue I am fighting is I use two machines, one for travel, one I keep at home, and I end up with holes in my data.   I seem to recall I once was able to import multiple P-Series in SleepyHead and was able to do what I want; but with Oscar, it seems harder to do?

My normal import process is to copy the P-Series from the SD to my local disk, then import to Oscar.  If there is a way to merge all the old data into the current data on the local disk, seems like the easiest way to mange it all.  Then just update the local disk with new weekly or monthly SD data.

EDIT:
Perhaps I was overthinking it.  I just tried selecting my local P-Series folder and it seems Oscar read everything there, from both machines, filling in data all the way back to 2010.

Oddly, there are holes in 2012 that don't make sense, only 3 or four days in a few months, but that seems to be in my raw data... so no clue there. I don't suspect Oscar deleted anything, but I know I am a 100% compliance type of guy.  I might have used my very old machine that doesn't have SD cards, but the gaps don't really fit that use case, either.

RE: Consolidating P-Series Data
As you discovered, OSCAR will read everything in the P-Series folder across all machines, so if that's always been you, it should work just fine.

Are the holes completely missing, or do they have only summary (.001) data? If your SD card was out of the machine while you slept, it'll write only .001 files when you reinsert the SD card. And a single .001 file will contain all the sessions that happened while the SD card was out, so you'll see something like:

00000345.001
00000345.002
00000345.005
00000346.001
00000350.001
00000350.002
00000350.005

Where 345 was a normal night with all data (summary, events, and waveforms), sessions 346-349 the SD card was out, after which you reinserted the SD card, and 350 was a normal night with all data.

In that case 346.001 contains the summary data (but no events or waveforms) for all 4 sessions. It gets written as soon as you reinsert the SD card.

Especially if you were swapping cards between machines, it wouldn't surprise me if you occasionally forgot to reinsert the card before going to bed.
