Correlation of ViHealth 02 data report and OSCAR

Question
Correlation of ViHealth 02 data report and OSCAR
So I have been downloading my Wellue 02 Ring data with use of the supplied ViHealth app.  I review the report.  The report states one drop >4% and three drops of >3%.  It also states 0.3 Drops per hour.

Yet, when I try to review the 02 data after it is imported into OSCAR, I become confused.  In the Event Flags graph, if you hover your cursor over the letters SD, the little yellow box appears and says SD stands for sudden drops.  When you place your cursor over the tiny little vertical lines in the graph a yellow box also appears, this time with words
"Sp02 Drop (SD) ( #)"

What exactly does the number in parenthesis signify?  How long the sudden drop was for perhaps?

And why does the report state 0.3 Drops per hour but when looking at the imported 02 data in the OSCAR graph, it appears as if way more than 0.3 drops per hour occurred?

Thanks in advance for any clarification.

The number represents the number of seconds. Since the Wellue/Viatom devices record an entry every 4 seconds, this number should be a divisible number of 4. Example: If the number is "8", then it recorded a drop for 2 samplings. That's not much in the scheme of things. Hand movement or hitting the device could disrupt its sampling accuracy, causing this.

Don't rely on this event parameter. The accuracy of the device is +/- 2%. A 3% drop is 1% more than its envelope of uncertainty.

I turn off both off these type of events (PC & SD) because of this, and rely strictly on the graphs. Look at your actual data.

Thank you for your reply Crimson.

Would you clarify what you mean by relying strictly on the graphs and looking at your actual data?  Do you mean the graphs in the ViHealth report and the data contained in that report?  If so, then how does it help to be able to import the data into OSCAR as part of the Event Flag graph and Resp Rate graph?

I had one drop that the little yellow box indicates as 736.  This interested me.  So I reviewed my sleep video for the time period this drop occurred and did not notice any movements or restlessness.  No hypopnea recorded nearby.  Mask on.  It appears as if I am indeed on my side.  There are other drops with what I consider mid to high numbers mixed in with drops of much lower numbers.

I was assuming you were importing your oximeter's data into OSCAR. If that is the case, then you will have SpO2, Pulse Rate, and Movement graphs in your Daily screen to view. You said that you were positioned on your side. Were you laying on the ring?

Yes, I am importing the binary file and viewing in OSCAR graphs but I also have the pdf reports that don’t seem to jive with what is getting imported. But i could be wrong.

Ya know, i’m not sure about the laying on the ring biz. I can’t really tell from the video. There were a few other significant drop periods but the 736 was the highest I noticed.
