RE: Dealing w aerophagia and probably UARS, Help
Here is my graph from last nights sleep. I deal with insomnia and had to take some medication. also because I knew the aerophagia would keep me up I put a neck collar on pretty tight. I felt I didn’t wake up much because of these things…thank you

You have some CAs but not concerning. Hence, you can increase your EPR to mitigate air swallowing and reduce the flow limit.
I suggest you set Min-max pressure: 12-14cm EPR=1 for now. You might be able to increase it depending on your CAs.

Ok. I feel I’ve had a harder time with going higher on the pressure I swallow much more air. Like it was rough at 8 max with a per of 2.. but you say 12-14 should be good? Maybe the neck collar will help more with it?
I’ve heard the typical way of dealing w aerophgia is turning the pressure lower ya?

You will have a smooth night with a minimum of 12 settings. However, your AHI is ok; hence, if the air swallowing is a more serious problem, you can reduce the maximum and minimum pressure. Like minimum=10, maximum=12. EPR=1.
The collar can help, but you should not put it tight because it might reduce blood flow. The target is to keep your neck relatively straight and your chin up. Use a thin pillow and try to sleep on your side.

I use a thin pillow and side sleep amd try to keep chin up mostly. So you are saying start 12/14.. if swallowing too much air keep dropping pressure to like 10/12, 9/11 etc?…. With an EPR of 1-2?

Correct.
However, with decreasing pressure, your AHI will increase, making sleep difficult. With increasing EPR, your CAs increase, but air swallowing decreases. So, you want to find your personal optimum.

I see. I think it’s going to take some tinkering and some probably some compromising but will see what i can do. thanks I appreciate it.
