If you are willing, try range of 6 to 10 and shut off EPR. You still need ASV.

RE: Frustrated
Gary, we have been pushing a bit for an ASV because we feel that in the long run it will provide you with the best therapy, but it is really your choice.
1: Optimize your current machine for you. 2: Help you qualify for an ASV Read the following Wiki article Justifying Advanced PAP machines And let us know which path you want to go down. Fred

He is suggesting that if I want to pursue the ASV option I can go have another sleep study and/or have a loaner ASV Machine for a month to see if that helps, however, his opinion is that my Clearway apnea is very mild and my problem is obstructive apnea and he does not think that an ASV machine will help my sleeping comfort and that will will have the same issues with a ASV machine. I will have to decide after I speak with him on Monday. He was rather turned off about the EERS thing. He had never heard of it, I did send him the link to learn about it. Will discuss it on Monday.

RE: Frustrated
Hands down grab a loaner ASV. Great option that I have not heard of anyone else being offered.

I would ask for the ResMed ASV vs the Respironics because you know more people using one. Wait, I doubt that would fly bu SR I've seen you post the right words before.

RE: Frustrated
I am baaaack
I received my rental ResMed AirCurve 10 ASV machine two days ago and have used it for two nights now. Things have definitely changed. My AHI had been running around 10 (mostly Central, Obstructive mostly under 5). First night total AHI both nights AHI was 1.58 with all being unclassified, no central or obstructive. However, stuffiness has been worse. Only able to sleep an hour or two at a time. After being in bed (up and down) for 8 hours only had mask (nasal pillow) on 5 and 1/2 hours. Have appointment with sleep doc in a month to review results. Old machine was ResMed AirCurve 10 VAuto. |
