Still Feeling Tired
Just wondering if I could get some advice. I seem to have most of the parameters set correctly yet my AHI score is high which explains why I feel so tired every afternoon.
Here are my stats: Press: 14 Leak: 95 th percentile 13.2 AHI: 9.7 AI: 1.5 I am using a full face mask with minimal leaks and I seem to sleep though the night ... thanks

RE: Still Feeling Tired
Welcome, Steve! The first thing that comes to mind is about that 10-14cm pressure. I wonder what ResScan shows re: if your pressure is staying up there against that top 14 for a significant part of the night? If the pressure graph shows it's banging against that top pressure of 14, you may need to have that top end raised a little, and if so, that may get your AHI lower.
As far as leaks, I don't know about your S8, but the S9 is described as capable of compensating for leak rates up to 24 L, with above that being a problem that reduces accuracy of data.

Machine: resmed S8 elite ii S8 Elite is not APAP ... operate at one fixed pressure all night long S8 unlike S9 don,t detect central sleep apnea and don,t differentiates between obstructive and central sleep apnea I assume 95% leak 13.2 (L/min) from ResScan because S8 report leak in L/s on screen ... 0.4 L/s = 24 L/min

RE: Still Feeling Tired
Thanks everyone for your feedback. I am going back to the sleep clinic nect week. I agree that maybe the top end could/should be increased a bit.

I felt really tired today and when I checked the stats through the Rescan program it showed little leakage and very little episodes of apnea. Mt stats were : apnea index 1.0 hypopnea index 9.0 AHI 10.0 leak 95 percentile was 8.4 Yet I felt like I didn't sleep all night... suggestions ?? thx

RE: Still Feeling Tired
What is your pressure set at?
You were going to ask for a pressure increase when you went back to the clinic, what did they say/do about that? AHI 10 is not awful, but still too high.
