RE: CPap Machine Less Air than Usual
AlliesNana, the PRS1 260 CPAP does not provide efficacy data, so it's nearly impossible to use it to evaluate the quality of treatment or any changes that might be needed. Sometimes we refer to these as a brick since it only records usage time and pressure. Next time you are due for a machine, be sure to get one that supports data like the Philips Respironics Dreamstation Auto or Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset. There are some older machines that support data as well. How long ago did you get this machine? If it was to be replaced, would you use insurance or self-finance?
For example, 6-units of the Dreamstation Auto CPAP DSX500T11 appear to be for sale on Amazon for only $319 and $7.49 shipping by "Quality Sleep Aid", which has a very good seller feedback rating. The images are of the old discontinued System One 60 Series, but the model number is clearly a Dreamstation. If I were you I would grab one of these ASAP and make your older model 260 a backup machine.
Basically with a non-data machine, you can only go by whether you feel better or worse.
