Misleading Sales Techniques Mar Internet Purchasing
I'm using a three-year old machine, and have been thinking about an upgrade. My doctor provided me with my script so that I could shop online.
I'm finding what can only be described as "deceptive practices" among many of the companies. I noted that many people seem to be using
[link removed] Supplier #1 as a supplier.
They seem to be one of the most deceptive. For example, they advertise the Transcend MiniCPAP Auto with a "retail price" of $629, which they generously discount to $529. But the manufacturer shows this machine at $529 as their "regular" price!

This isn't the only product that they've attached a phony "retail" price to.
Can someone recommend a slightly more honest internet retailer? Or is this an oxymoron?
Jim

As with anything retail there is going to be mark up and a "special sale price" you'll have to determine for yourself which online suppliers you deem to be "honest." Check out the supplier list at the top of the page and also in the future you have to refer to them as supplier# in your posts instead of by company name. It's a forum rule. Welcome to the board and best of luck on your continued journey!
Also, for what it's worth I have found the customer service at
Supplier #18 fantastic! They are a pleasure to deal with and have a loyalty program.

You can check the supplier list at top of the page, then compare their prices.
I've found that suppliers #18 and 26 have good customer service.
RE: Misleading Sales Techniques Mar Internet Purchasing
I bought my machine from
Supplier #2 as an open box special.
I'm happy with the price, condition, and access to after sale support.

I should point out that the machine in question is manufactured by Somnetics not the DME you originally listed as the maker.
