ResMed rainout help
Hi all, I’m using the ResMed airsense 10 with the climate control hose and N20 nasal mask and I’m waking up most mornings around 4/5am with water dripping on my nose.
I’ve spent the past few weeks trawling the forum and internet in general for ideas and these are the things I have done so far:
Moved the machine to the floor so that the hose drops downwards from the bed
Keep the hose inside the covers where possible
Adjusted the temperature (tried up and down) and humidity multiple times (currently temp at 28 degrees C and humidity at 2).
I’m not sure what else to try. We have heating or aircon on all year round so the bedroom is generally 20-22C so never super hot or cold.
If anyone has experienced this and found something else that has worked for them please let me know!
Thanks!
RE: ResMed rainout help
You didn't say, but is it water condensing in the hose that is an issue or is it just your nose is wet?
Is this a new thing or has it happened all along?
Have you changed any settings about the time this started?
Things to consider -
The fleece mentioned above.
Try a different hose and see if maybe the heating element or temp/humidity sensor at the mask end of the hose has gone bad. The plastic bit sticking out into the airflow contains a temp/humidity sensor that can go bad.
Try settings something like 22c and humidity 5 and see how that works?
