Every night, forever as far as I can tell, I have fairly consistent pulse rate spikes every ~10 minutes throughout the night. I've tried eliminating caffeine, alcohol and other habits just to see if it has something to do with that but no difference.
Sending one OSCAR sample but they all look pretty much the same.
Tried googling to get some answer on this but haven't been able to find something that completely fits. Maybe someone here knows.
Data is from an Airsense 10 and Viatom O2 finger sensor.
FYI I don't know if this is bad in any way but comparing to my wife her pulse rate is pretty much flat. I still wake up fairly tired even after the cpap so that's why I started looking at the data.
RE: Fairly consistent pulse rate spikes every night
Initially, the graphs we need to see are: Events, Pressure, Flow Rate, Flow Limitation and the Leak Rate Graph. Always include the entire left side bar, minus the calendar and pie graph.
Set your display to the Standard view. (View > Reset Graphs > Standard) Take a screenshot of your Daily screen. * For Windows or Linux: Use the F12 key * For a Mac: Use Fn+F12 Or Shift-Cmd-3
RE: Fairly consistent pulse rate spikes every night
No worries…
The larger spikes look to be arousals and the smaller spikes are micro-arousals. If you zoom in for a 2-3 minute view on a few you should see a slight reduction in airflow followed by a short cessation of breathing, and then a big recovery breath. Nothing unusual as we all have it happen.
I suggest increasing pressure a bit so you get the full effect of the EPR, plus the extra pressure should help smooth out the splikes. Not get rid of them entirely, but make it more comfortable.
Min pressure 7
Max pressure 12
EPR 3 full-time
No ramp
I suspect you will have to go to a min pressure of 8 or 9 to smooth it out more, but try the min of 7 first to see how you do.
