First Day with S9 AutoSet - Many Clear Airway in the morning
Hello everyone,
I just started using the S9 AutoSet (a bit behind the versions available, mainly due to import reasons) and noticed a significant number of Clear Airway events on my first morning(with the longest of 51 seconds). I'm looking for some advice on what steps I might take to address this.
I bought this device primarily to address my snoring, which has been disturbing my college roommate. I decided to purchase the device based on recommendations that it can provide immediate relief for snoring
. However, on my first morning, I noticed a significant number of Clear Airway events. This has made me realize the importance of getting a professional check-up, but my schedule is quite tight at the moment.
I'm seeking advice on what adjustments on this machine I can make to test out.
Thank you all in advance for your guidance.
Here are my statistics:

Also, with EPR level 1.
Honestly it is a quite improvement. I dream the weirdest dream and can remember them before using this machine. Even if I also dreamt this morning, I hardly recall the dream now.

It comes to my mind that I did breathe through my moth this morning.
It might be due to breathing through my mouth that causing these Clear Airway.

The posted chart was not using EPR, so I'd like to suggest some changes in your pressure settings and using EPR. Many times central apnea is actually triggered by high flow limitations that destabilize your breathing. You have relatively high flow limits and there are some notable large respiratory spikes in the flow rate graph. My recommendation is to try the following:
Minimum pressure 7.0
Maximum pressure 10.0
EPR: On, Full-Time
EPR Setting: 3
Before taking a screenshot of your charts, use the View Menu and select Reset Charts/Standard View. That should provide us with the most important charts for us to help with your therapy.

Thank you for your suggestions! I will try out the settings you recommended tonight.
I've reset the charts as you instructed, and below is the screenshot after the reset. The previous layout was something I picked up from another post on this forum
.
Thanks again!

Much better on the charts. Be sure to turn on the Daily Sidebar (F8) so we also see the respiratory statistics and settings.
RE: First Day with S9 AutoSet - Many Clear Airway in the morning
I tried it out last night.
- With the pressure settings at 7-10 and EPR at 3, I experienced numbness in my hands and feet, which was unbearable. I had to get out of bed and change it to EPR 1. Or is it a sign that I am feeling comfortable with that settings and am about to fall asleep, I don't know.
- I'm not sure if it was because I played basketball and was physically tired, or if the pressure from the machine was too high, but I found myself exhaling through my mouth more often last night, leading to extreme dryness in my mouth. Should I buy a tape to seal my mouth or use a facial mask instead of the nasal mask I am using.
- I'm not sure if it was because I was in a hurry to remove the SD card, or I didn't plug the SD card in correctly, but the detailed data from last night wasn't recorded. I read online that the official recommendation is to stop the treatment for at least 2 minutes before removing the card, so unfortunately, I can't provide the detailed data from my trial last night.
I'll try again tonight.
Here is what I rescue using ResScan:
