My ent had me get a fatigue pannel (bloodwork). Of course the sleep doctor didn't think of that
Is this typical?
The good news is that my blood pressure is back down, my morning headache is gone and I usually have more energy.

Frustrated
Neither the DME who tracks data remotely or my "sleep doctor" bother looking at resmed graphs. The sleep doctor and respiratory therapist just look at the general info on the machine and say "all is fine" even though I still wake three to four times a night and am tired in the morning after 3 1/2 months of cpap use.

[/quote] congrats. its a good indicator ... therapy is working don,t get frustrated .. If the therapy is working, why am I still tired and waking a few times a night despite having AHI's under 4 I have been using the cpap machine since the end of August except when we had no power for four nights due to hurricane Sandy.

RE: Frustrated
Not knowing any history here are a few things to consider. Therapy was working, any new medications, any other health issues, etc.? Not asking you to share them but maybe consider it might not be the CPAP. Keep your treatment going and ask a lot of questions! Hope you find the answers soon!

I don't have other health issues or changes in health. I am curious to see what if anything the fatigue profile uncovers

RE: Frustrated
Hi Roxy, If your sleep Dr. is so unattentive, maybe finding another one is in order, I know that can be difficult though. Sometimes it takes quite a while to really notice the benefits of CPAP therapy but if your blood pressure is down and you have more energy, it sounds like something is working for you, but I understand your frustration when you don't feel like you are getting enough rest.
I just encourage you to continue on and stick with it. Best of luck to you.

RE: Frustrated
Many PAPers feel they have to manage their own therapy.
Get the free OSCAR CPAP software here.
Useful links. Click here for information on the main alternative to CPAP. If it's midnight and a DME tells you it's dark outside, go and check it yourself.

RE: Frustrated
Getting them to look at the graphs is easy, just tell 'em there's a credit card number hidden in there.
Sorry for that.

Mine came back with a very low Vitamin D deficiency but I also have some other issues that make me tired. I just take them one at a time!
