Gums now hurting
Suddenly in the last two days, when flossing my teeth, the floss feels like small knives cutting into my gums.
I am trying to figure out if this is a side effect of my therapy.
I have been using my device for just over 6 months with great success and little problem (save some Aerophagia--but that is a different issue!). Good AHI, no leaks, no dry mouth, complete compliance.
I use the F20 FFM. I have always used the ACT Dry Mouth Rinse before putting on my mask (to prevent an event such as this!).
The humidification is set at 4 which seems OK. I also use a Dr Dakota Cervical Collar.
Has anyone else had this problem. Any suggestions on what to do about this situation?
Do I need to stop therapy for a while to let my gums heal?
I don't want the pain, I don't want to stop flossing, and certainly don't want to lose any teeth!

Since you are not mouth breathing and don’t have dry mouth, then I don’t see how Cpap can cause bleeding problems with your gums.
Probably time to see your dentist.

What Opal said. If your data has not changed, then it is not CPAP related.

Thanks to all who replied.
By the 4th day, the pain had receded. The only thing I did was to use my ACT Dry Mouth Rinse more often, and have a very light touch with my floss. Hope it is gone forever.

I would definitely get your dentist to take a look. Can't hurt...well the looking anyways.
