Help! Battery connection for Sefam SBox
Hoping you can help me. I am a new CPAP user 2 weeks into my trial from Bristol Sleep Unit, using a Sefam SBox and full face mask. Am really feeling the benefits already.
Am going to Glasto on Wednesday next week, would love to take my CPAP and realised I needed a battery. Too late to rent one from HopetoSleep I have bought an AtomPro 12v 96k battery which I collect today, but am now puzzled as to how to connect.
The AtomPro has a multipin outlet (12V) and a 12V cigar outlet. The HopetoSleep package for the battery shows a cable which I cannot find anywhere and the 24V Sefam cigar cable will not run off a 12V supply.
What do I need? Would an inverter to 200V drain the battery too fast, do I need a 12v to 24v step up transformer? Does it need to be machine/brand specific? I am not good on electrics so advice would very welcome indeed!
RE: Help! Battery connection for Sefam SBox
From what I see on the interwebs, that power pack has an inverter built in, so it has an AC mains jack as well as the jacks you mentioned. In that case just plug your Sefam power supply into the mains jack on the power pack, just like you would at home. Be sure to measure the run time on battery at home before you leave.

Many thanks for that. That is the conclusion I came to as well and will test it tomorrow. The charity supplies it with what it calls a Sefam cable but on reflection that may just be for charging the battery from a car. I will call and check this with them on Monday when they are back in the office.
Thanks again for replying. ?
