Help with my numbers and data?
Hi i was hoping someone could help me figure out my data and offer some suggestions of what to do to improve. Thanks so much.

RE: Help with my numbers and data?
I can see a couple of things. Your flow limits are high. Are you using EPR? If not turn it on full-time, and set to 3. If you are using ramp, turn it off if you can stand the difference. You get virtually no treatment during ramp. You also have positional apnea. This shows up with you have Os and/or Hs in clumped together areas. These are caused when you sleep with your chin dipped toward your chest. The effect is like a kink in a hose. In your case, it is air that is being blocked. No setting can fix this. There are a few things you can try to fix this. If you are sleeping on two pillows, drop to one. If your pillow is high try a much flatter one. If those attempts don't help, most folks here buy and wear a soft cervical collar every night. Amazon has many to choose from and drugstores usually carry a couple. When I needed one I tried a lot of them, but liked the Caldera Releaf Collar the best. For me, it worked as well as any but was WAY more comfortable. Those are some things to try to fix.
When you next post a chart it would be helpful if you would post the following items, in the order given, all on the first page: Event Flags, Flow Rate, Pressure, Leak Rate, and Flow Limits. These are mostly what is helpful, and we need to see right to the very bottom of the Flow Limits. Also, unless someone asks you to, don't list blown up portions of the chart. I hope your therapy and comfort improve very soon!

RE: Help with my numbers and data?
Ah okay I'm not using epr at the moment I can try it and see if it helps the limitations. Oh okay I can turn Ramp off. I will definitely try the epr and the cervical collar. And okay so when I post screenshots it should be in that order and zoomed out. Thanks so much!

RE: Help with my numbers and data?
Deb is spot on, but I will take it a step further. Switch from CPAP to APAP mode, at least until things get to a better place.
Try the following settings. Mode APAP Min pressure 9 Max pressure 15 EPR 3 full-time No ramp Note that EPR will help with the flow limitations, but you have primarily OA and hypopnoea’s, which need more pressure, hence the max=15. The machine will adjust the pressure as needed to handle the events. Once you get a few nights in and post some OSCAR charts, the refinement process may begin. |
