Newbie Needs Help

RE: Newbie Needs Help
You've downloaded the Clinician's Manual, right? So you can go into the menus and see what's what? I think the secret handshake for that machine is to hold down the big button and the double-check button at the same time for 5 seconds. Anyway, first off I'd check to be sure the S9 is set to AutoSet mode and not to CPAP mode. If it's set to CPAP mode, it's gonna push 6 all night and never change. 2nd, definitely make sure Ramp is off since that seems to be an issue. Disable it, so you won't inadvertently turn it back on. 3rd, check all the settings -- ALL -- to make sure everything looks right, especially the pressure settings. Lastly, experiment with the EPR settings. You might prefer no EPR or max EPR. Play around with it after you got everything else set.

For your mask questions, can't help you there. That's a path of self-discovery. Nasal pillows work great for me for 10 years now, but I'm clean shaven.
