Humidifier Issue

RE: Humidifier Issue
You've probably tried it, but as I recall, when I had an ASV I was able to try both manual and auto humidity. You've tried both?
Mask Primer

Positional Apnea

Attach OSCAR, etc.

Auto is just as if I'm doing max set I can manually which is 5 and 92° , auto won't go pass it due to its heating li.itation. I'll have to get another hybernite rainout tube ?

Out of ideas need suggestions.
The water chamber’s plate does heat up, you can see moisture in it plus water runs empty but I'm not getting ANY moisture at all. It's just dry hot air. Turn off the hose heater set humidifier to 8 and nothing, to 6 same thing, put it on automatic and nothing, turn the hose heater nothing. Heck I'd rather have rainout that I can tweak but I'm getting 0 moisture at all. No humidity in my mask AT ALL, wake up a bunch of time over the night because my mouth drops so hard that dry hot air just gushes in drying it up like a desert. No idea what's going on ?

Vako - I see your latest thread/post is a continuation of your Humidifier thread. I have merged it into your original thread on this issue. Please keep all posts that are related to the same subject in one thread.

Sir don't know if you took time to read the posts but they are 2 DIFFERENT issues how come do you merge them? People won't be able to tell or come to an old thread unrelated. One was about having rainouts, this one is completely different as not getting ANY moisture at all not even rainout. Can you please put it as a stand alone thread as it was intended? People won't come to this old thread based on the topic of the old thread and the issues of the thread being different. Thanks

It's a physics problem.

As I see from your other thread. You like the bedroom at ice box air temps, but like hot moist air to breathe. The XPAP just can't deal with that given it's design of intaking very cold and dry air from the room and trying to humidify it BEFORE heating that cold air.

Cold air from your room is blown across warm humid water in the water tank. Cold air just can't hold much moisture. Then that air is heated in the heated tube running to the mask.

If you take air at a room temp of 65F and increase it's humidity via the water tank to 80% Then heat it to 85F via a heated tube to the mask. It dries the air by half or thereabouts.  So you end up with warm dry air.

If you had a way of preheating the air going into the xpap before the water tank. Like a small (very small) space heater. Then you might be able to maintain the moisture content of the air.

I'm sorry but that doesn't hold much ground, on my earlier posts WHICH SHOULDN'T have been merged with this one because it can confuse people but the MOD didn't care to read it was 2 different issues, the room was at 65° with everything maxed even a hybernite heated hose which is 50x hotter than a climelineair and I was having rainouts how can you come with that theory now that the room is at 70° I get no moisture NO rainouts just hot air. Btw on your theory if that were to happen the air you get is also cold because the tube can't compensate such as when you get rainouts you are not getting hot air you are actually getting cold air plus splash of water.

So no this is not the reason to the problem, I'm sorry

RE: Humidifier Issue
Vako. I was only replying to your most recent post about no moisture but hot air. I ignored the older posts.

That humidity info came from an engineering web page. And is scientific fact.

The only other reason would be an equipment issue.

Agree to disagree that you believe that site is fact as I just explained what actually happens and you saying you just went from my last post makes me wonder your credibility without being disrespectful but this was your first line and I quote "As I see from your other thread. You like the bedroom at ice box air temps, but like hot moist air to breathe. "
