RE: Oscar Data Help Please
I'm not an expert, but will point out two things:
1. Please post each chart only once. Posting the same chart 2 or 3 times wastes the experts' time. 2. Please update your profile, it shows the old machine and no mask identification.

Follow the links in my signature line to help guide you.
For starters, we only need to see the following graphs (in one chart): Events, Flow Rate, Pressure, Flow Limitation and Leak Rate. To take a screenshot, use the F12 key (on a Mac, Fn+F12), Standard View. This will automatically arrange the chart. If we need to see additional graphs, we will ask. To update your profile, click on User CP above. UserCP> Menu> Your Profile> Click on Edit When done, scroll to bottom and click on Update

I am struggling, Oscar data, any help appreciated
Hi guys!
First, I wanna say thank you for your help. I'm making progress. It's frustrating, but I'd have made NO progress without you. Second, I've lost the other thread that had all my info. I'm sure it's a problem between the keyboard & computer but I'm struggling. Sorry. Third, it's been eventful. I had a great deal of trouble breathing & heart-rate/BP became quite erratic- (150/90 down to 60/40). So,went back to Dr -- ended up running the gauntlet of medical care: Dr->more specialists->>tests->>more drs couple of trips to the hospital. Here's what they tell me: I have OSA and a few other things: Hypothyroidism, Addisons disease, and possibly restless legs *though they don't feel like I need to move them-just feels numb & I move a lot in my sleep automatically * I didn't get a lot of sleep. I'm not sure it'd help to post Oscar on a couple hours of data, but I have no idea what I'm looking at or what a good data sample size is, so I'll post & you guys can comment. It's old because: Hospital/trips out of town to specialists etc (just now getting back). I hope I'm not jumping the gun so to speak with the data. Here's my questions: 1)I'm on my own-- no sleep dr to help. First appointment with sleep Dr is almost 11 months away. Am I doing this right? Do I need a bipap? Or do I give it more time? I have contacted the supply house & they do have an affordable unit (bipap) 2)Addisons & Hypothyroidism & restless legs all make Sleep Apnea worse & vice versa. I'm scared. I'm seriously afraid I'm going to die before I get actual help & break this viscious cycle. In retrospect, I've had "Addisonian Crisis-es" several times & any one of those could have cost me my kidney function or my life.i knew I felt terrible, but had no idea I was actually close to death. Things the specialists have done: Rheumatologist says this isn't lupus(ray of light in this storm) Endocrinologist is sending me for more testing to rule out a pituitary tumor & started me on steroids & drugs for Hypothyroidism/Addisons but has no idea what to do about OSA situation Neurologist says any one of those things worsens OSA/SA & could be causing the seizures-- I'm on supplements to try to keep them at bay (phosphorus, calcium, vitD,magnesium prescription strength) because the drugs normally used for seizures worsen thyroid/adrenal issues & could hasten my demise. GP is overwhelmed. Made apt with sleep specialists-but that's months away. Suggested I keep trying with CPAP. You guys have helped in that department & I'm so very grateful. I feel like I'm stuck- and I'm open to any suggestions about any of these things & how to get sleep, reduce OSA/SA, and whether I need some other sort of help (I dunno..I sound barking mad, but I'm currently not sleeping & when I do it's in short spurts with lots of movement, OSAs, and low oxygen). Y'all did I mention I'm scared? Oscar Data from last session: |
