Thank you, Szabo. I had actually read your post previously and didn't see a mention of gag reflect. I've also since found Sleepy's earlier post, where he indicated he did not have any issues with gag reflex either other than the one time he inserted the stent too far and touched his epiglottis. I'm not inserting it nearly that far and have a very strong gage reflex the moment I remove the insertion tube. I know gag reflex varies from person to person and it's possible I have too strong of a gag reflex to tolerate the stent, which would be unfortunate as I'm at my wit's end with this palatal prolapse issue.

I recollect that I mentioned a strong gag reflex. But it is a long post. 
The short story: It goes away but takes quite a long time.
