Close, But Not Perfect
I may be splitting hairs here, but I just had my best (numerical) night's sleep since diving into the world of taking personal control over my sleep therapy, and I'd like it to be even better. As you can see, I am at an apap range of 8-12 (historical average fixed and apap level is about 8.5). I have been trying to incrementally zero in on, well, zero AHI for a few weeks, and the last adjustment I did came from the suggestion of Sleeprider who recommended a flex level of 1 to help with my periodic breathing.

I'm using a DS2 Advanced Autoset machine, and I'm hoping insurance approves my doctor's scrip for a new AirSense 10, but I'd like to dial this machine in as best I can. Can you who have much clearer eyes than mine tell me if this is good enough, or should I keep tweaking things to try for the perfect night's sleep?

Very few achieve an AHI of zero and it would it probably make little difference in how you feel. My AHI is usually between 0 and 1. Although I see 0 a couple of times a week I don't feel any more rested than following a night of close to 1. There are many issues that prevent a "perfect" night's sleep other than sleep apnea. Practicing good sleep hygiene will probably help achieve a better night's sleep than chasing an AHI of zero from where you are now.
