Importing Data Only After A Certain Date ResMed AirCurve 10
I am new to the board, CPAP and Oscar. I bought a used machine, ResMed 10 AirCurve VAuto, that was the card was not wiped of old data. I searched and I may not be using correct keyword(s) as I can’t find anything to help me. I also reviewed the user guide. I downloaded the Oscar software. Specifically chose the data preference of do not import data older than the date I started using the machine. OSCAR does not hold the setting and from poking around, it may be that it is a ResMed so that it doesn’t allow that setting, not sure (from search it wasn’t clear). When I imported data it went back to when the machine was first used by the other owner. I retried by resetting the date I started using the machine, and purging data (Data>Advanced>Purge All Device Data>ResMed AirCurve…) and reloaded the data and it still had all the data. I deleted all of the data that was prior to my owning the machine from the Datalog file on the SD Card and have verified that they do not appear in File Explorer. I wiped the data from OSCAR again, reloaded the data and all the data was still there. I removed OSCAR from my PC and removed the data file as well. And reinstalled OSCAR plus do not import data older than the date I started using the machine, and even after deleting the data from the datalog file on the SD card, it still brought in all the records. Is there a way to get rid of the approximately 205 data records that are not me? Am I doing something wrong?

If you are willing to start over with data, you can wipe the user data from the machine and SD card and start fresh. The option to reset patient data is in the clinical menu of the Vauto. If you want to manually purge the data that is no yours from Oscar, you can keep your data and still reset the patient data on the machine and format the card. This will result in all the old user data being deleted permanently. The Erase Data option is at the bottom of the configuration menu. You can also reset the machine settings to return to factory defaults. I assume you have your own pressure settings in there?

Thanks. I am curious as to why the data on the card doesn't show anymore in file explorer but is still there for Oscar. Do you know or is this a glitch in ResMed. I appreciate your help and quick response.

I think I answered my own question, the detailed records are gone but not the summary data. I am on day 6 so try to learn as much as I can.

The Resmed CPAP can store summary data for a year. OSCAR stores the program in one area and the OSCAR_Data directory in another. Deleting OSCAR does not erase the data directory.
