Is a DreamStation Cellular Modem capable of retrieving existing (historical) data that was collected while the modem wasn't installed?
Philips Respironics Patient Support says no...that a particular modem only has access to data that was collected while that particular modem was installed.
If true, that means that if your modem dies, and it takes a week to get a new modem, the replacement modem would not have access to that week's data, and so the only way to share that data with your doctor or provider would be to physically take the DreamStation (or possibly just the SD Card) to your doctor's or provider's place of business.
It would probably also mean that if you wanted to temporarily tweak your Rx settings without your doctor's or provider's knowledge/permission, all you would have to do is remove the modem during your tweaking session, because, upon re-installation, your modem would not have access to the DreamStation's data collected during your tweaking session.
