Just getting startedand need input
Hi all - I've been dealing with terrible fatigue/exhaustion for about 3 years now. I have been diagnosed with Sarcoidosis (small lung nodules) w/ some pulmonary fibrosis and Hasimoto's Thyroiditis (take thyroid hormone) but do not have issues breathing during the day and respiration feels normal. When laying in bed I would hear what sounds like faint crackling noises when breathing prior to CPAP. Also about 40lbs overweight. Figured I'd give CPAP a try after a home sleep test resulted in an AHI of 12. I have a ResMed 11 w/ F20 full face mask.
Still adjusting settings (script preset 6-14 pressure w/ no EPR and 20 min ramp). Noticed first few nights low AHI but still felt exhausted. Noticeable Flow Limits so turned EPR on to 3 and raised pressure to 8-14 and shut off ramp. Next night had a few centrals (never had them before) so dialed back EPR to 1 leaving 8-14 pressure.
Here is my last OSCAR which (I think) looks pretty good, still had the single central but overall almost no Flow Limits and good AHI. Still feel like crap.
I am also adding a few images of my Flow Rate when awake in bed vs. after an OA (with EPR at 1, 8-14) and this pattern remains for the rest of the night.
Tend to wake up around 3-4am and can't fall asleep regardless of whether I've had an OA or not. In this image I had an OA close to 4am but that is not always the case.
Any thoughts on flow rate changes when awake vs. asleep post OA? Overall thoughts/input?
