Newbie needing reassurance

RE: Newbie needing reassurance
I am guessing that the straps were on too tight. Plus you didn't get a good nights sleep with everything a sleep study involves.

My experience is that carefully adjusting the straps to be tight enough not to have leaks but not any tighter helps greatly.
