Migrating Data between Dreamstations

Migrating Data between Dreamstations
I used Philips Sleepeasy Centre to get a one month paid trial ($150) of a Philips Dreamstation.

I have since purchased my own Dreamstation and am in the process of setting it up.

I am curious about migrating the data between the systems.

I know it is not super critical, but the Opti Start setting uses historical data to start therapy at 90% pressure, I was wondering if there are other features that use historical data as well.

It is not a big deal, but I am just curious is there is a way for the system to import the data from another Dreamstation - it seems like the kind of thing you would be able to do.

But I am rapidly learning that in the world of xPAP, things are not the way one expects them to be from other technology industries.

Each machine would have it's own serial number.  There is no way to copy data from one machine to another.

Take the SD card from the rental machine and download data to SleepyHead.  Then when you are ready to download from the new machine, just do the same with the new SD card.

SleepyHead will recognize the new serial number and download without missing a beat, while keeping the data from the first machine.

Make a duplicate copy of the last night of data off the SD card in the rental machine on to a new SD card, insert the duplicate SD in the new machine on the first night of use.

Both Sleepyhead and any program your clinician may be using to track your data will continue to record any new data without a problem.

Sleepyhead logs the date/time/model number of any machine usage changes.

Your new machine can be set up with the identical pressures your rental machine has.

That is how it all worked for me.
