RE: Inspiration and Expiration Time
Awesome, thanks. I finally understand this graph now. I have a ResMed but the data it shows for me has always been a longer inspiration vs expiration in the statistics section.

VAuto Trigger Setting
I know the trigger setting is often recommended for users that see CA's and it resolves them. My question is, does the trigger setting have influence on other events? I have recently changed my trigger setting from 'High' back to 'Med' for the last 3 weeks. What I have noticed is an increase in events across the board, OA's & H's. I went from an AHI average around .3 to 1.3 with the trigger on 'Med' the past 3 weeks.
Any insight into this? With the trigger at a lower setting does it increase the likelihood of events at the end of exhalation and start of inhalation?

RE: VAuto Trigger Setting
If you were more comfortable at a high trigger setting, then by all means use it. I have not observed a correlation to obstructive events, but there are so many permutation of individual therapy, perhaps there is something to that. An AHI of 1.3 is still pretty darn good.

RE: VAuto Trigger Setting
I know the AHI is still pretty decent, but was experimenting since I was having the heavy eyes issue and figured it was worth a shot. I am putting the trigger back to 'high' tonight and will see what happens. From looking at my data, the 'Med' trigger setting seems to allow events to creep into my flow.

How did it go by adjusting trigger back to high?

Positional Apnea or Something Else?
Hi All,
So last night a strange thing happened to my data and usage. IN over 400 days using CPAP/BiPAP, I never have 'positional apnea' happen like this. It could possibly be that, but has anyone seen a situation where maybe you lay on the hose and 'kink' it or something? I found I slept really well last night, or thought I did, but looking at these charts makes me wonder. Let me know thoughts when you get a chance.

RE: Positional Apnea or Something Else?
It does look like positional apnoea to me. The machine tried to respond but it hit max pressure and had no where else to go. Other than those two clusters things look pretty good.
If it is a one time event, I would not worry about it. If it happens more often, then time to look at trying a soft cervical collar and/or flatter pillow.

Thanks for the information. It's probably a one off, just caught me by suprise because I slept so well last night.

RE: Positional Apnea or Something Else?
Here is your image link. The clusters of OA are reflected in the flow rate, volume, respiration rate, so I suspect it might be real. As you note, it is a one-off and should not be a concern unless it becomes a continuing problem. A zoom on the event might tell you more.
