You're fine.  I'm still amazed people even post at all about such a subject. Anyway, I think this thread is done. I am noting my progress on another one.

The mask fit test starts at the highest pressure you have set on your machine and works down to the minimum pressure that is set.  
Example:  pressure range set at 6minimum and 12 maximum.  The test will start at 12 and wind down to 6.  

If your machine is at default settings of 4-20, then it will start at 20, which may blow you away.  

The mask fit on my Resmed S9 VPAP Auto.goes to my highest set pressure (I think) which is 20.6 but I have never felt it backing down until it shifted to therapeutic pressure.
