N20 mask: waking up unable to breathe
I've been a P10 user but am giving N20 a shot because P10 is bothering my nose and slipping off my head. Only used it 3 nights so far, but 2 of those nights I have woken up in the wee hours completely unable to breathe through my nose. This has never happened with the P10 or off the machine.
It's terrible. I wake up suddenly, my heart is pounding, I feel like I'm suffocating, and when I try to breathe in, my nose feels completely blocked. But when I take the mask off I can breathe through it. It really feels like I'm experiencing apnea in my nose or sinuses. Definitely doesn't feel like it's in my throat.
I don't think it's a mechanical issue, but not sure. When I remove the mask, there is air flowing. And I don't think the vents are blocked or anything.
The first time it happened my nose was congested, and it was a little hard to breathe through it even after i removed the mask. Then I put on the P10 and it seemed to blow through the congestion, if that makes sense, and I was able to breathe the rest of the night. It happened again last night but my nose was not congested.
Just pulled the OSCAR graph and there's really nothing on it that I can see. And it doesn't seem to have ramped up the pressure in response to apnea. First graph shows the end of use, including the end when I pulled the mask off. 2nd graph shows wider trend of pressure.
Any idea what might be going on?
