Okay, we've confirmed that 4.5 is the new software version.
It is the one now being distributed. If you'd like a copy of the new

Do anyone know if it is worth upgrading if you are happy with the current version?

Upgrading is painless, so it's kind of a why not?
I don't see a lot of differences, but I figure there may have been some bug fixes or something.
Sleepyhead's still the best.

Version 4.5 seems more sluggish than 4.2 or 3.16. I may end up downgrading.

I tried installing ResScan 4.5 on another computer (an Asus Vivotab) but it was even more sluggish, with the Not Responding error appearing frequently. Version 4.2 works fine on the tablet although everything looks shrunken down. Now I can download my data without getting out of bed (or rebooting my Mac into Windows).
Has anyone else had any performance problems with 4.5?
Edit: 4.5 doesn't completely freeze up on the tablet. It works eventually if you wait long enough. The software problem seems like a good reason to stick with the S9 or even the S8.
